Fredy Amílcar Roncalla (Chalhuanca, Apurímac 1953) is an artisan and writer whose work focuses on indigenous poetics. He is the editor of Hawansuyo.com and a member of the Chirapaq Council, and his books, essays, and poetry have been published in various print and digital outlets. Roncalla has published numerous books, including: Canto de Pájaro o invocación a la palabra (Buffon Press, 1984), Escritos Mitimaes: hacia una poética andina postmoderna (Barro Editorial Press, 1989), Hawansuyo Ukun Words (Pakarina Ediciones/Hawansuyo, 2015) y Revelación en la senda del Manzanar: Homenaje a Juan Ramírez Ruiz (Pakarina Ediciones/Hawansuyo, 2016). He has co-edited the books Huambar poetastro acacautinaja (facsimile edition of Juan José Flores’ bilingual 1933 Quechua–Spanish novelle, Pakarina Ediciones, 2019), and Muyurina y el presente profundo: poéticas andino–amazónicas (with Juan G. Sánchez Martínez, 2019).
